YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED TO BRING CHRONOLITH TO THE NEVADA DESERT

"Chronolith" whispers tales of time

Twelve black granite giants cast shadows in the day, aligned with the sun's journey, and at night in their mystical circle they continue their count igniting rhythmically. The work challenges observers to question when and in which realm this timepiece belongs.

CONNECTING TO EARTHS ORIGINS

Forged from ancient black granite, "Chronolith" presents a majestic circle of twelve towers, their age marked by 500 million years. By night, these monoliths transform into a cryptic clock, their illumination subtly marking time in an enigmatic dance of light. Absent a distinct '12', the sculpture defies conventional time zones, inviting onlookers into a realm beyond the ordinary. Mirrored surfaces within each tower capture the day's essence and the dreams of night, melding reality with illusion. This circle creates a mesmerizing core, a stage for gatherings, performances, and awe- inspiring spectacles, each moment fleeting yet eternal.

INTERACTIVITY

Chronolith invites diverse interactions: impromptu dances within its circle, performances against a backdrop of synchronized tower lights, gatherings around its enigmatic presence, and calm meditation. Collaborative events with the 'Titanics End' art car will utilize the space as a dance floor and synchronize with its towers to immersively envelop the space in coordinated sound and light.

MISSION

Prometheus is designed and built as a permanent sculpture, made predominantly of stone and steel, it is intended to have significant life beyond its exhibition at Burning Man. This intentionality sets it apart from from other art at the event.
