In January of 2021 my pandemic nomadic journey took me to the Northern California coast town of Anchor Bay. My cabin was perched on the steep ascent of the coastal mountain ridge and was surrounded by tall Redwoods, with a view amongst their canopy.

This pyramid was inspired by the fog in the little microclimate of the valley of Fish Rock Gulch. It stuck to the trees, their needle leaves like fingers of a hand, limited in its grasp of something so ethereal. Sometimes lasting only the early morning and other times cloaking the area for a full week, the fog provides the same sense of seasonal change found on the East Coast, which when lifted brings a renewed value to the sun.
