Crafted from a broken block of Italian Marble, the boring holes were embraced and replaced with lighting elements to imagine a relic of a celestial civilization. I crafted the work as my final piece during my nomadic journey across the United States, after having carried it with me since departing New York. Ironically I found many other materials along the way and did not need to use the stone as local resources were abundant. Finally carving into it as the first vaccine emerged released the sense of preciousness I had attached.
